aeronautic domain
titanium is a material of choice for aircraft designers because it is a metal that has excellent mechanical characteristics (resistance and mechanical fatigue) while benefiting from good corrosion behavior.
military aeronautics
fighter planes are always pushing the limits of aviation (speed, shielding, etc.).
for this reason, some parts use titanium, in particular for parts potentially subject to shocks, such as the leading edge slats and canard planes. it is also used as shielding (cockpit of fighter planes) where its mechanical properties and its resistance to corrosion and fire are highlighted.
