inspection:
inspection will be carried out by sgs or any reputed inspection agency for quality and
quantity /weights at the load port at the seller’s expense. a certificate issued by the
inspecting agency will form part of documents along with b/l, invoice etc. also, cargo
inspection by sgs or a reputed inspection agency will be carried out at the destination port on
arrival and a report to the effect will be issued.
payment:
once the buyer verifies the product at the site and contract signed, 15% is paid through tt
to the seller’s bank account to cater for logistics. 85% is paid as dlc subject to the
condition that the goods are received as per specification mentioned in the contract at the
destination port and verified by an independent inspection agency and a certificate issued
by the agency to that effect. besides, cargo inspection by sgs or a reputed inspection
agency will be carried out at the destination port on arrival and a report to the effect will
be issued to ensure rail is totally free of radioactive contamination
procedure:
1. buyer confirms sco and acceptance of the seller’s procedures,
2. seller issues fco to the buyer.
3. buyer sign fco
4. seller sends buyer the draft contract.
5. seller and buyer confirm contract and procedure.
6. seller and buyer sign contract and exchange (3) copies.
7. seller sends the buyer invitation letter
8. buyer travels to nairobi kenya to verify and ascertain the rails quality and
quantity.
9. seller issues the buyer with the invoice for 15% and 85% respectively
10. once the 15%tt is received, cutting and transportation begins from the site to the
port of loading which takes a maximum of 2 weeks in the presence of the buyer or
his representative.
11. at the port of loading, sgs shall certify the quality and quantity of the rails at the
expense of the seller.
12. after certification, shipping documents shall be issued to the buyer awaiting
the rails at the destination port.
